Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Our Emergency Department (ED) RNs are vital in providing care to patients during critical times. We seek dedicated ED RNs who can handle a variety of emergency situations for patients of all ages. Ideal candidates should be skilled in quickly and accurately assessing incoming patients, prioritizing their injuries, and addressing both physical and mental health conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized and innovative nursing services in the Emergency Department.
• Handle various trauma situations, demonstrating quick and decisive actions.
• Assess incoming patients rapidly, prioritizing their medical needs effectively.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 18 months of nursing experience in an ED environment.
• ED experience within the past six months.
• Demonstrated high level of performance and nursing practice.
• Strong clinical knowledge and analytical skills to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Effective communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare personnel.

Qualifications

• Education: ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Licensure: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license required.
• Certifications:
  • BLS - AHA
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • NIHSS
  • CEU Contact Stroke (4 hours)

Preferred Experience

• More than 2 years of experience in an ED environment.

Schedule Notes

• Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM
• Hours per week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: 2 winter holidays and one evening or Black Friday
• Potential for floating to the 12 BED Satellite ED.
