My client is an MEP Consulting firm in the NYC area with a great reputation. They seek a Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer with 2+ years of Consulting engineering experience. Details are: Responsibilities Here is what we have in store for you: In this role, you will initially work with and be mentored by experienced engineers and will yourself help to mentor designers. Your initial assignments will include performing load calculations, determining system sizing and layouts, calculating equipment sizes, selecting equipment, completing field surveys, and reviewing equipment shop drawings. As you gain project experience, you will take on a greater role in leading piping/plumbing project teams, writing specifications, participating in project meetings with clients and other consultants, and supporting construction-phase work. Qualifications What you will need to Succeed: BSME/BSAE from ABET accredited school. Minimum GPA of 2.5. Non-academic internship. 2-6 years of experience. Revit experience is mandatory. Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities/student organizations preferred. EIT certification (Passed the FE exam) a plus. Internship experience in the MEP consulting engineering field preferred. What sets you apart: Strong spoken and written communications skills. Excellent organization and time management skills. Science, Technology or Healthcare experience is a big plus.
