As a Universal Banker, you'll assist clients and potential clients by opening a variety of new accounts including checking, savings, IRA, CD and others. Collect required information from new account customers and complete account set up process including data input, verifying references, and documentation. Provide information and answer questions regarding bank products and services. Make referrals as appropriate to cross-sell a variety of bank services. The UB possesses a thorough knowledge and understanding of all Bank operations and processes client transactions according to Bank's policies and procedures. Performs all required job duties in accordance with the Bank's regulatory standards. As the first line of defense against risk exposure, you'll ensure all safety and security protocols are followed: to include cash controls dual control, transaction processing and approvals.Essential Job FunctionsPerform a full range of teller and new accounts functions, including deposits, withdrawals, and account maintenanceOpen and service consumer and business accounts in accordance with Bank policies and proceduresOriginate new accounts and ensure accurate completion of all required documentationReview and understand business entity documentationProvide excellent client service by identifying client needs and offering appropriate Bank products and servicesAccurately handle cash and balance drawer within established limitsComply with all applicable regulations, including Reg E, Reg CC, and BSA/AMLMaintain strong working knowledge of Bank systems and technologyFollow established security, audit, and operational proceduresMaintain reliable and regular attendancePerforms additional duties as assigned that are consistent with the business needs of the Bank and the scope, responsibilities, and level of the role.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience working with the public in a client service role is required.3-5 years working in bank branch operations.Prior new accounts experience is preferred.Strong organizational skillsAbility to multi-taskExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalStrong cash handling skillsStrong computer/technical skillsNew Accounts OriginationKnowledge of business entity documentsExcellent client service skillsReliable, dependable and regular attendance is essentialKnowledge of Reg.
