Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor - Full-Time Position
Veterans Mental and Behavioral Health
Position Overview
The Veterans Mental and Behavioral Health organization is actively seeking a highly motivated and licensed mental health counselor for a full-time remote position. This role offers a unique opportunity to deliver high-quality mental health care to clients across the United States. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing excellent care while operating within a supportive and innovative online platform.
About the Organization
Veterans Mental and Behavioral Health is dedicated to serving the mental health needs of veterans and other individuals through a comprehensive and accessible online platform. We aim to bridge the gap between mental health professionals and clients requiring support, particularly focusing on the needs of veteran populations. Our organization prioritizes creating a compassionate environment where counselors can thrive while making a meaningful impact on the lives of their clients.
Work Environment
This position allows you to work remotely, providing the flexibility needed to balance both your professional and personal life. As part of our outpatient office framework, therapists will engage with clients through virtual sessions, ensuring they have all the necessary tools to deliver exceptional care from the comfort of their own homes. Our remote-first approach encourages a collaborative culture where mental health professionals can share insights and strategies to enhance client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual therapy sessions with pre-screened clients to deliver tailored mental health interventions.
- Create and maintain comprehensive treatment plans that reflect clients’ goals and tracked progress.
- Manage an independent caseload of clients, including scheduling and case documentation using our secure online platform.
- Provide ongoing assessments, therapeutic interventions, and case management to ensure holistic client care.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities to facilitate clients' emotional and mental growth.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and counselors for integrated support and resource sharing.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The primary client demographic includes veterans and individuals experiencing low acuity mental health issues. All clients enrolled in our program are pre-screened and stable, allowing the therapist to focus on delivering effective therapy without the pressures that may accompany higher acuity cases. This targeted approach enables counselors to deepen their work, fostering meaningful therapeutic relationships.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related mental health field is required.
- An active license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT is essential (candidates requiring supervision cannot be considered).
- A clean record with no disciplinary actions against your professional license.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with clients and document care appropriately.
Preferred Experience
- Demonstrated experience in a therapeutic setting, preferably working with veterans or similar populations.
- Proficiency with telehealth platforms and documentation systems.
- Experience in case management and independent scheduling of client sessions.
Compensation and Benefits
We believe in rewarding our dedicated mental health professionals competitively. Full-time therapists can expect an annual salary ranging from $115,000 to $130,000, while part-time therapists may earn up to $70,000 per year. In addition, full-time staff are eligible for a monthly healthcare stipend to assist with medical expenses. All counselors can utilize our platform's services as a client free of charge, provided they remain active on the platform. Furthermore, you will enjoy the flexibility to design your schedule according to your needs.
Career Growth Opportunities
Joining Veterans Mental and Behavioral Health not only offers you a stable and rewarding position but also provides pathways for professional development. We encourage our counselors to pursue further education and specialized training while offering resources and support for their career advancement. Opportunities to lead workshops, participate in research, and contribute to program development are also available, positioning our therapists as leaders in the mental health field.
