Data Governance Analyst

Job Summary:

The Governance Analyst will support agency-wide data governance initiatives by operationalizing policies and standard operating procedures, maintaining metadata and Dataset Reference Sheets, managing critical data elements, and coordinating centralized data sharing and access governance to ensure data quality and compliance. Responsibilities:

• Intake, triage, and route data requests while maintaining audit trails and SLA tracking.
• Maintain metadata, catalog fields, and Dataset Reference Sheets.
• Author data quality rules and resolve data quality issues.
• Draft and operationalize governance policies, SOPs, and decision records.
• Develop and deliver data literacy and stewardship training.
• Collaborate with data owners and stakeholders to report KPIs to leadership.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• 2+ years' experience with Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog or similar tools.
• 2+ years of relationship management experience across divisions.
• 3+ years of project oversight and decision-making skills.
• 4+ years of critical thinking, time management, and communication skills.
• 4+ years proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience with data lineage tools and methodologies.
• Understanding of the data analysis life cycle in business settings.
• Strong trust-building and team cooperation skills.
