About the Position

License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: - Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication skills (verbal and written). - Organizational and time management abilities. Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities. They prevent illness and injury and alleviate suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human responses. Advocacy in the care of individuals and families is a key responsibility. The RN is accountable for compliance with all standards of practice and professional development. This is in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and relevant policies. A caring and healing environment for patient-centered care is promoted. The RN assesses, plans, delegates, coordinates, implements, and evaluates nursing care. They manage a group of patients, serving as a primary or accountable nurse as designated. Patient and family education in health promotion and disease management is provided using available resources. A working knowledge of pharmacology is utilized to safely administer medications. Responsibility for productivity and resource utilization, including staffing and time management, is shared. All nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements are complied with. Active participation and support of initiatives are part of the role. Professional development and completion of mandatory education requirements are expectations. Integration of nursing research and current evidence into practice is practiced. A supportive learning environment for new employees and students is provided. Other duties as assigned will be performed. Engagement in all organizational values is expected.
