Construction Superintendent
Position OverviewExperienced Construction Superintendent to lead on-site operations for commercial projects, with a focus on Church's, Healthcare, Class A office buildings, and Bix box retail/warehouse work. The role is responsible for delivering safe, on-time, and on-budget projects while maintaining high quality standards and strong relationships with owners, contractors, and design teams.

Key Responsibilities- Lead day-to-day field supervision for commercial construction projects, ensuring work progresses according to schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and trade crews; enforce contract scope and resolve on-site issues quickly.
- Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and RFIs; implement plan revisions and communicate changes to the field team.
- Enforce safety programs and site-specific safety plans; conduct daily safety briefings and ensure regulatory compliance (OSHA).
- Maintain and update project schedules, track milestones, and communicate progress to project managers and stakeholders.
- Perform quality control inspections, punch list management, and final turnover procedures for Class A office and Bix box projects.
- Coordinate inspections, permits, and third-party testing; ensure documentation and closeout packages are complete.
- Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for owners, tenants, architects, and subcontractors, fostering positive working relationships and proactive communication.
- Monitor material deliveries and logistics to optimize site workflow and minimize downtime.
- Support change order documentation and collect daily reports, logs, and progress photographs for project records.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years experience as a Superintendent on commercial projects
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple trades on complex commercial sites while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, reading blueprints, specifications, and construction scheduling software.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a track record of coordinating successfully with owners, PMs, architects, and subcontractors.
- Proven problem-solving skills, ability to make timely decisions under pressure and manage project risks.
- Familiarity with permitting, inspections, and construction safety regulations (OSHA).
- Reliable transportation and valid drivers license; ability to be on-site and travel between multiple projects as needed.
