Team Member - Bakery (part-time)

Description: We are a from scratch bakery and seeking a part-time production baker to work the below schedule: Tuesday and Wednesday 8am - 4pm This position pays between $17 - $18 per hour. Job Summary Under general supervision, performs a variety of baking duties and assists with the preparation of breads, rolls, muffins, cookies, cakes, doughnuts, and other pastries. Duties And Responsibilities Position Responsibilities Ability to prepare and bake a variety of pastries, rolls and/or other baked goods, including icing and frostings, according established recipes. Ability to monitor and/or maintain quality control standards. Knowledge of care of culinary equipment, supplies, and materials. Knowledge of food preparation and presentation methods, techniques, and quality standards. General Responsibilities Reviews production schedules to determine variety and quantity of goods to bake and to assemble supplies and equipment needed for daily baking activities. Spreads or sprinkles a range of various toppings on specialty bakes items. Shapes dough for cookies, pies, and other pastries either by hand or by using dough rollers and cookie cutters. Cut and weighs dough into uniform portions with knife or divider, molds dough into loaves or other shapes, and places in pans; inspects product for quality during and after baking and makes adjustments to processes as required. Detects and ensures disposition of spoiled or unattractive food, defective supplies and/or other unusual conditions. Cleans & maintains work areas, utensils, and equipment. Ability to prioritize work tasks, multi-task, and maintain focus. Operates with a sense of teamwork. Reports to work for scheduled shifts on-time. Understands and adheres to organizational and departmentpolicy and procedures. Accepts direction willingly and follows through with delegated tasks.
