Specimen Processor

Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor I for its Winston Salem, NC laboratory location. The role involves preparing, organizing, and shipping clinical specimens in a high-throughput environment while maintaining accurate records and meeting production standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis by unpacking and routing to designated areas
• Accurately identify, label, and organize specimens with proper documentation
• Pack and ship specimens to appropriate testing facilities according to protocols
• Enter patient information and specimen data accurately and timely into systems
• Resolve and document specimen issues; store excess samples properly

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to accurately identify and handle biological specimens
• Strong organizational and data entry skills with attention to detail
• Comfortable lifting up to 40 pounds regularly
• Pass standardized color blindness test
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
