Lead Project Management SpecialistThe Lead Project Management Specialist supports the respective Project Director in planning and executing contracts for the design and construction of new nuclear power plants, including managing the quality, cost, and schedule of the execution process. Additional focus will be made toward project administration and configuration management of project documentation to assist the Project Director.Essential Responsibilities:Be responsible for on-time project delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction through management of project related activities and resourcesAssist Project Director in organizing project cost structure in Oracle ERPParticipate in customer, internal, and/or supplier project kickoff meetings and support the Project Director with preparation & coordination of customer, internal, and/or supplier kickoff meetingsDevelop and maintain a project roster including assigning and monitoring timely completion of project related training activitiesSupport the development & issuance of the Project Management Plan & related project plans and project procedures; promotes the implementation of project plans and project procedures across the larger project teamSupport the development and deployment of project infrastructure and project toolsEnsure compliance with U. S. government requirements as applicableSupport coordination of project activities; monitor and control progress on project deliverablesEnsure the conformance of project deliverables with contract and project requirementsOrganize and archive project correspondence and records consistent with Project Configuration Management PlanLead, draft, and issue project management meeting notes, action item lists, and project progress reportsOther relevant duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college and a minimum of 2 years managing projects (nuclear preferred but any energy or other large scale projects)The preferred work location for this role is Longmont, Colorado but highly qualified remote candidates will be considered.Ability to travel up to 25%Desired Qualifications:Demonstrated organizational skills, particularly when related to project executionBachelors Degree in Engineering or STEMFundamental-level financial or accounting knowledgeExperience or familiarity with Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) or Sodium Fast Reactor (SFR) designsKnowledge of the power industry, customer, and competitive environmentDemonstrated ability supporting project budget, schedule, and quality objectivesFinancial control knowledge and understandingDemonstrated professional interpersonal and leadership skills, including high level of motivation, integrity, and self-confidenceAbility to take initiative and to work independentlyAbility to influence othersExtreme attention to detail, follow up, highly organizedDemonstrated ability to balance workload under short deadlines and changing priorities in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problemsStrong process orientation in approach to workExceptional proficiency in Microsoft Office suiteSix Sigma Training (BB, DFSS, etc.) (GE Employees only)Strong oral and written communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
