Construction Manager (LSNA-TX-1)

We invite you to join us as a client‑focused Construction Manager in our Life Science North America group, based in Northeast Houston, Texas. Responsibilities Perform onsite activities, including inspections, walkdowns, and field administration tasks. Conduct project meetings with contractors and stakeholders. Maintain project documentation files and logs. Review submittals, shop drawings, material certifications, and other deliverables to support project turnover. Ensure all construction complies with design specifications and drawings. Manage or support project financials, including change‑management processes. Manage or support project schedule activity, including status updates and long‑range forecasting. Complete the project closeout process and submit final records to client satisfaction. Build cooperative partnerships among client, contractor, and stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure project success. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field; or equivalent experience. 10+ years of experience managing construction projects for industrial or commercial facilities, with strong preference for life‑science construction experience. Knowledge of general construction sequencing and execution. Experience using 3D modeling software and being physically present on active construction sites. Experience managing budget packages and project schedule. Knowledge of Quality Control and Quality Assurance testing/reporting. Knowledge of the commissioning and qualification process for MEP systems. Experience with project controls, procurement strategies, and day‑to‑day management. Ideal Qualifications Working knowledge of design and pre‑construction, building systems/components, contract management, and project delivery methods. Advanced knowledge of MEP systems, architectural systems, clean‑room knowledge, and general building construction & maintenance. Experience implementing LEAN strategies and technologies, including Last Planner System, 5S Construction, and off‑site manufacturing. Familiarity with updating project schedules from Level 1 through Level 4 detail using scheduling software such as Primavera (P6), MS Project, or comparable tools. Knowledge of construction project sequencing and use of 3D technologies such as BIM360, REVIT, or other. Compensation The base salary range for this position is $144,600.00 to $200,000.00. Pay within the range is determined by work location and additional factors such as job‑related skills, experience, and education.
