RN - Med Surg

Shift: 07:00 AM - 07:30 PM, 3 shifts per week, 36 scheduled hours. Start date: 08/03/2026, end date: 11/02/2026, duration: 13 weeks.

Position / Specialty: RN- Med Surgical. Ratios: 1:6. Years of experience required: 1. First-timers accepted: Yes. Weekend requirement: Every other weekend. Floating required: Yes. Required certifications: BLS, ACLS. Preferred certification: NIHSS.

Skills: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Med/Surg, Nasal cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oxygen administration, Peripheral line care/management, Tracheostomy care/management, Use of rapid response/code teams.

Unit details: RN is responsible for all aspects of tracheostomy care/management, RT is available if needed.

Travel compliance: RTO no more than 3 days and no RTO first or last week of contract. Less than 2 years experience accepted. Must have IL RN, LPN/LVN, and CNA licenses in hand. All allied positions require state or national certification and/or license. Locals accepted at the same bill rate. Attach Nursys when submitting (pulled within the last 2 weeks). No license hits allowed. Automatic redirect. Former UCM, PRN, or Ingalls permanent staff must be gone 7 months to come back as a traveler. Use traveler’s legal first and last name when submitting profile. Any block scheduling or special schedule requests must be made on the submittal email and discussed in the interview. Any request made after the offer is accepted or onsite will not be accepted by unit manager. Positions - Level 1 Trauma exp. is required.
