Job Title

Registered Nurse – CVICU Location

Largo, MD | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:30 AM – 8:00 PM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required | Holidays required as scheduled Key Responsibilities

Provide immediate post-operative care for cardiac surgery patients, including 1:1 care during the first 12 hours following surgery Manage patients with diagnoses including CABG, valve surgery, CABG/valve combination, CAD (STEMI, NSTEMI), AFib with RVR, cardiogenic shock, peripheral bypasses, EVAR, and VATS Operate and monitor advanced hemodynamic and support devices including Flo Trac, CRRT, IABP, and Impella Perform groin and radial artery management including fem stop and TR bands in collaboration with the care team Manage ventilated patients in coordination with respiratory therapy Float within specialty as needed, including IMC and lower-acuity settings;

Active Maryland RN license or Compact license required at time of submission BLS certification – American Heart Association only ACLS certification – American Heart Association only Minimum 1 year of CVICU experience required; first-time travelers considered with 2+ years of extensive CVICU/open heart experience Must be comfortable floating within scope with no restrictions or special requests Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (permanent address) to be eligible Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience caring for adult and geriatric cardiac and vascular surgery populations Familiarity with CRRT, IABP, and Impella device management Prior travel nursing experience in a CVICU or similar high-acuity cardiac setting Why Join Us
