Civil/Structural Designer
Virtual Vocations Inc
To support various industrial projects, the full-time Civil/Structural Designer will work remotely, utilizing AutoCAD and other CAD tools to create detailed design drawings, perform structural inspections, and collaborate with engineering teams in heavy industrial environments. Key responsibilities: Perform structural inspections of existing steel structures and fireproofing in accordance with guidelines Create detailed design drawings for industrial facilities, including foundation design and structural steel support Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and mentor junior designers throughout the design process Required qualifications: High school diploma required; AS degree from a technical trade school preferred 5+ years of civil/structural drafting and design experience in heavy industrial environments Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and Revit Experience with 3D modeling of structures and AutoCAD Civil 3D Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal direction
