Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician

Location: Remote (Serving New York Inpatient Facility)
Job Type: Full-Time / Contract (12 shifts per month minimum)

Alina Telehealth is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist with an active New York medical license to provide after-hours inpatient telepsychiatry coverage .
You ll be part of a collaborative, well-supported clinical team providing admission consults, medication management, and on-call coverage all remotely.

This position is ideal for physicians seeking flexibility, consistency, and professional balance while supporting inpatient psychiatric care.

• Minimum Requirement: 12 shifts per month

• Hours: 5:00 PM 8:00 AM EST (Monday Sunday)

• Rotation: 7-on / 7-off or flexible monthly schedule

• Consistent after-hours coverage with advance scheduling

• Respond promptly to emergency room calls and inpatient consultations

• Handle admission orders , medication management , and treatment adjustments

• Collaborate with on-site Nurse Practitioners seeking physician input

• Document all encounters and orders accurately in the EMR (Meditech)

• Provide follow-up consultations when required

• Ensure all calls are attended to within the required response timeframe

• Patients will be seen remotely as needed for proper clinical management

• Admission Orders

• Medication Adjustments

• NPs requesting Physician Input or Review

Average Call Volume: 4 6 calls per night

• Active and unrestricted New York Medical License

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry

• Prior inpatient or telepsychiatry experience preferred

• Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and reliability

Fully remote position provide inpatient coverage from anywhere
