Software Engineer II, Backend

To support the ML Training & Serving engineering team, the full-time remote Software Engineer II, Backend will design, develop, and maintain backend systems while collaborating across engineering to enhance model training and serving infrastructure. Key responsibilities Break down larger projects into manageable tasks and collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery Support product development by articulating technical constraints and partnering on risk assessment and decision-making Create and monitor metrics for team artifacts to ensure operational availability and support on-call efforts Required qualifications 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer Proficiency in designing and launching backend systems using Python or Kotlin Familiarity with distributed systems and technologies such as AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes Experience in writing clear, well-tested, and extensible code that interacts with multiple software components Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
