Cost Analyst

Position SummaryThis position will assist in processing invoices and assist with month-end closing tasks.Major Job AccountabilitiesDevelop/maintain invoice account coding process for all invoices.Assist with monthly variance analysis in conjunction with departmental managers for the operating budget.Research/code invoicesCoordinate payments with Accounts Payable to maintain credit standing with vendors.Calculate and organize prepayments for "short notice and "as needed" charters.Prepare customer fuel reconciliations.Develop/maintain system for billing back charges to customers.Work closely with vendors to obtain and verify all invoice supporting documentation.Recommend changes in operating procedures for cost containment.Provide analytical support for departmental projects as required.Develop and improve systems and procedures as needed.General administrative duties as required.QualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting, Business, Finance or related experience2-4 years related experience.Experience working with public reporting companies.Experience with Sage Intaact and iPayables/Invoiceworks software preferredAirline experience a plusSkillsStrong computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office products (Excel specifically)Excellent written and oral communication skills required.Strong customer service skillsAbility to work effectively with others in a team environment.Strong prioritization skills and the ability to perform multiple tasks.Strong quantitative skills required.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
