Assistant Salon Manager - Licensed Cosmetologist


Sport Clips Haircuts in Fairfield-Village Green, OH is hiring an Assistant Salon Manager to help support daily salon operations, develop our team, and deliver an exceptional client experience.


This opportunity is ideal for an experienced licensed cosmetologist who is ready to grow as a leader while continuing to work behind the chair. Our Fairfield-Village Green location is busy, growing, and supported by a local franchise group with five successful salons in the area.


Compensation and Perks

• Hourly pay plus tips and commissions

What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality men's and boys' haircuts while delivering the Sport Clips client experience
• Support the Store Manager with daily salon operations
• Help coach, motivate, and develop Team Members
• Assist with opening and closing responsibilities
• Support scheduling, shift coordination, and salon organization
• Help onboard and train new Team Members
• Reinforce service, cleanliness, and operational standards
• Assist with inventory, product displays, and salon supplies
• Help address client and Team Member concerns professionally
• Foster a positive, accountable, and team-focused salon culture
• Step into additional leadership responsibilities when the Store Manager is unavailable

What We're Looking For

• Active Ohio Cosmetology or Barber license
• Haircutting experience, with men's cutting experience preferred
• Previous leadership or team-lead experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Dependable, organized, and comfortable taking initiative
• Willingness to coach others and accept coaching
• Ability to balance clients with leadership responsibilities
• Flexible availability based on the needs of the salon
• Interest in continued leadership and career development
