The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As a Quality Technician, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Setting up and operating quality testing equipment
• Perform QC (Quality Control) measurements with corresponding disposition
• Communicating testing results to and manufacturing engineers
• Assist in identifying quality related issues
• Aid in conducting MSA (measurement systems analysis) studies
• Maintain records of quality related testing
• Complete visual inspections
• Provide the necessary support to conduct experiments and scale-up manufacturing under technical staff's direction
• Work in a flexible work environment with varying work shifts and varying quality testing assignments

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
• One (1) year combined experience in a manufacturing, pilot plant and/or lab environment in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Associates degree or higher from an accredited university
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving / analysis skills to operate and troubleshoot equipment as well as improve processes
• Experience in quality control procedures, testing and reporting
• Three (3) years experience in high volume, fast paced manufacturing environment
• Experience with production reporting in PMCS/OPRA and quality data entry in MES
• Strong attention to detail and protocols

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $75,460 - $92,229, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
