Radiologic Technologist Float Pool

This position will be part of the Diagnostic Imaging flex pool. Home base is Allina Health Orthopedics in Minneapolis, providing coverage for imaging services across additional sites. Responsibilities Performs technical and diagnostic imaging functions in inpatient or outpatient settings as directed by the radiologist. Provide timely and quality services; follow imaging department policies and protocols to maintain a safe, efficient, and economical environment. Interact with patients to welcome, explain, and respond to questions during and after the procedure. Completes procedures in compliance with physician orders and department guidelines. Identify patient with two identifiers. Document accurately all needed aspects of the procedure. Maintain a safe patient environment in the procedure area. Performs procedures with a high degree of accuracy. Demonstrate knowledge of all diagnostic equipment. Maintain work knowledge and competence. Gather relevant information to assist interpretation of images. Verify imaging has appropriately transferred to imaging storage and retrieval system. Provide accurate clerical functions. Use Excellian (electronic medical record) and understand Enterprise Medical Imaging/PACS. Ensure all documentation is complete post-procedure. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Qualifications Vocational or Technical Training graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program 3+ years experience Preferred Qualifications Experience with two or more equipment manufacturers (Siemens, Philips, Fuji, Carestream) Licenses & Certifications Registered Technologist - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required; must be registered upon hire Must meet one of the BLS requirements below: Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross, or Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire) Physical Demands Medium Work Lifting weight up to 32 lbs occasionally (Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy); up to 25 lbs frequently Starting bonus: $7,500 for eligible external talent Schedule & Location 0.8 FTE (64 hours per two-week pay period) 8-hour Day/Evening shifts Schedule: Monday - Friday; no weekends Hours vary between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm depending on location Mileage reimbursement Locations in addition to home site: Abbott Northwestern Westhealth - Plymouth; Allina Health Orthopedics Brooklyn Park; Allina Health St Paul (Ortho, Joint); Allina Health Eden Prairie (Primary/Ortho); Allina Health Orthopedics Edina Ortho; Allina Health Orthopedics Coon Rapids; Allina Health Orthopedics Woodbury; Allina Health Orthopedics Fridley; Allina Health Orthopedics Lakeville Specialty; additional travel may be needed within 30 miles of home base Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: Flat Rate $48.00 per hour. This position is paid on a standard non-negotiable hourly rate. Shift and/or other differentials may be available to increase pay for certain shifts.
