News Producer

WKBN-TV is looking for an energetic, creative Full‑Time News Producer with strong news judgment, solid writing skills, and a passion to win. We’re seeking a journalist who goes beyond stacking a rundown—someone who finds original content and tells meaningful stories in compelling ways across broadcast, digital, and streaming platforms. This role produces daily newscasts and contributes to WKBN+, our growing digital streaming platform, helping shape how we tell stories across multiple screens. What You’ll Do Build and produce engaging newscasts and streaming content Write, edit, and organize stories for newscasts Pitch original story ideas and contribute to editorial decision‑making Monitor scanners, phones, social, and digital sources for breaking news Collaborate with anchors, MMJs, and newsroom staff daily What We’re Looking For Strong writing, grammar, and storytelling skills Solid news judgment and attention to detail Ability to multitask and thrive under deadline pressure Team player who communicates well across departments Details All shifts possible, including nights, weekends, and holidays Degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience) NOTE: This job description contains the basic requirements for the position and is NOT intended to be a complete list of responsibilities; other duties may be assigned. #J-18808-Ljbffr NAB Leadership Foundation
