Veterinary Extern - General Practice

Job Overview Northampton Veterinary Clinic is an award-winning, 7-doctor practice located in western Massachusetts. We provide dedicated care to pets and their owners, fostering a collaborative environment for continuing education among our veterinary team. Responsibilities Assist supervising DVMs in gathering patient histories and performing physical examinations. Create treatment plans, conduct diagnostics, and provide dentistry services. Observe, assist, or perform surgical procedures as directed. Participate in medical management of patients throughout the externship. Practice and enhance communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients. Externship durations range from two to eight weeks, tailored to student and hospital schedules. Qualifications Currently enrolled as a 3rd or 4th year veterinary student in the clinical portion of your education. Eligible for a travel/living expense stipend.
