Finance Manager, AWS SMGS Ops

As a Finance Manager, you'll partner with sales, data teams, and finance leaders to develop analytical insights, financial models, and story-telling narratives. This role requires problem-solving to navigate ambiguous projects where you and your team will define the problem space, establish frameworks, and create structure from complexity and incomplete data. Key job responsibilities- Serve as a key finance partner supporting Sales Marketing & Global Services leaders providing financial support and business insights- Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed and present findings to senior management- Integrating AI into internal process and analysis- Interact and ensure alignment across several stakeholders across Finance and Business teams- Ownership of key reporting metrics (KPI’s) and narratives to help business partners understand the business performanceBasic qualifications- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience- 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience- 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience- 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience- 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience- 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience- Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative fieldPreferred qualification - 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience- MBA, or CPA- Knowledge of SQL/ETL- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of resultsAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
