Receptionist PositionParallel 45 Associates is an independent financial services practice of Thrivent Financial. We help every day through the financial solutions we offer, the client activities we support, and the resources we provide to the Christian community and nonprofit organizations.Position summary: The Receptionist position is responsible for performing clerical tasks to support daily operations. Duties include answering and transferring phone calls, sorting and delivering mail, greeting visitors, and providing administrative support to the practice. The Receptionist reports to and is employed by John L Thurlow II. This position is part-time and the hours for this position are Monday – Thursday: 8:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. Compensation for this position is $18/hr. After 90 days; 401K Retirement Plan (5%) match available. This is an in-office position.Position Roles/Responsibilities/AccountabilitiesSupport the team with a variety of functions, projects and tasksInterface with clients to coordinate meetings, mailings, and other communicationsGreet clients and visitors when they arriveAnswer all incoming calls and disperse them and any messages appropriatelyMaintain client correspondence including compliance and marketing mailingsPerforms routine administrative duties such as maintaining office supplies, data entry of information, and processing mailDrive client facing activity in the practice by scheduling meetings with clients on behalf of the practice's Financial AdvisorsMaintain internal mailing lists, birthday card lists, and monthly calling listsProvides back-up support on tasks that do not require any type of licensing or registration for other staff members, as neededMaintain physical or electronic fileCompletes other miscellaneous tasks as assignedPosition QualificationsPrevious experience working as a receptionist in a professional service firm desiredStrong technical computer aptitude and knowledge of business tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or ability to learnAbility to handle multiple tasks and maintain a high quality of work while experiencing frequent interruptionsHigh school diploma or equivalentCustomer Service experienceStrong phone etiquette skillsCompetenciesPlanning/OrganizingClient FocusCommunicationInterpersonal SkillsTeamwork and CollaborationAdaptability/FlexibilityExternal/Internal DependenciesMust be able to work with all roles of the Parallel 45 Associates TeamMust be able to represent the organization in work with external clientsMust be able to cultivate and maintain relationships with outside organizationsAs part of Parallel 45 Associates recruiting/hiring/contracting process, a verification of a candidate's background will be made to complete the hiring/contracting process.
