But be prepared – it's contagious!Position DescriptionThis position is responsible for the maintenance of all accounting records and preparation of monthly financial statements for properties in a custom-built portfolio of real estate assets. This role works closely with accounting leadership, owners, our commercial real estate managers as well as our lease administration advisory team and fellow accountants within our client services accounting team. After initial training period, this is a hybrid role, which includes working in our fabulous downtown Orlando office and provides the opportunity to work remotely as well.Essential Job FunctionsPrepare the month end, quarter end and annual reporting packages for real estate assets in the designated real estate portfolioPerform monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations for all assigned portfolio assetsAssist in reviewing budgets annually for your real estate assetsPrepare and file monthly property sales tax returns, if required, including the monthly reconciliation of sales tax assets and liabilitiesReview the computation of year-end reconciliations for tenant CAM, taxes, and insurance prorationsAnalyze balance sheet and income statement accounts for unusual or unexpected activity, discrepancies or irregularities and collaborate with the real estate manager to resolve in a timely fashionAnalyze and prepare journal entries related to all property acquisitions and dispositionsAssist with client audit requirements, if applicableOther items as needed (posting receipts and charges, uploading budgets, etc.)Education and Experience RequestedBachelor's degree in Accounting requiredFull cycle accounting work experience required, ideally 1-2 years at a minimumPrevious real estate accounting experience preferred, but not requiredExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbalSuperior customer service skills and a high degree of professionalismSomeone searching for a high-quality company with an unmatched corporate culture, who wants to grow in their career with us and work on a dynamic and positive teamProficiency in MS Office programs, as well as general ledger applicationsSpecific real estate software experience, such as Yardi and MRI, is a bonusFoundry Commercial is an Equal Opportunity EmployerFoundry Commercial is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
