Travel LPN - LPN

American Traveler is hiring an LPN for a Medical Surgical unit requiring IV certification and 2+ years of recent specialty experience at a Level I Trauma Center.

Job Details

• Work in a Medical Surgical unit at a Level I Trauma Center,
• Team nursing model with patient ratios of 1:7, supported by PCC, RN, and other staff, though ratios may run higher,
• Night shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:00),
• On-call and weekend work as needed,
• Weekly hours typically 48, with 36 hours possibly approved,
• Weekend block scheduling may be considered,

Job Requirements

• Active LPN license required if applicable, in compliance with NLC guidelines,
• IV certification required,
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Medical Surgical specialty required, 3+ years preferred,
• Level I Trauma Center experience required,
• Large hospital experience required,
• Prior travel assignment experience required, first-time travelers not accepted unless 3+ years of recent experience,
• Driver's license copy required for consideration,
• Vaccination status required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Candidates must be willing to work 2 of 3 major end-of-year holidays if all three fall during the assignment, or at least 1 of 2 if only two occur,
• Former permanent staff or travelers must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning through this agency,
• May float between like units or campuses within a 20-mile radius, though cross-campus floating is rare,
• Local candidates accepted only if living 100+ miles from the facility due to strict radius rule,
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application, as post-offer RTO requests will not be honored
