Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Dialysis Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (06:30 - 19:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred License: Active RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Ability to cannulate AV fistula - Ability to cannulate AV graft - Experience with acute care inpatient dialysis - Knowledge of infection control measures - Ability to manage anticoagulation Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse specializing in dialysis. The nurse will care for patients with end-stage renal disease, acute kidney injury, metabolic imbalances, and dialysis access problems. Patients may also include those requiring hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis treatments. The patient population consists of acutely ill individuals with a variety of medical-surgical or critical care diagnoses. The role involves providing hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and apheresis treatments. The nursing team supports patients 24 hours a day throughout the week. The average length of stay for hemodialysis and apheresis is approximately 4-5 hours. Treatments are performed in dedicated areas and include telemetry monitoring for specific patients. The nursing staff will work closely with an ancillary team and participate in patient care initiatives. Candidates must pass a compliance EKG exam as part of the onboarding process. Flexibility with scheduling is essential, as there is a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences. A background check with no open cases will be conducted prior to hiring. Travel within multiple campuses may be required based on patient care needs. The position may involve evening and weekend rotations.
