Surgical Unit RN - Glen Rose, Texas

An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in the Operating Room to contribute expertise in a dynamic surgical environment. This contract role is ideal for professionals who thrive in high-acuity settings and brings specialized knowledge in perioperative care.


Schedule

• Days, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM (Tuesday-Friday)
• On-call required: 5-7 days per month
• No block scheduling, 48-hour shifts, or floating
• Maximum of 3 days requested time off

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years' operating room nursing experience
• Proficiency in ortho, urology, gynecology, general surgery, endoscopy, and robotics (XI platform)
• Prior travel nurse experience preferred
• Ability to work with a 1:1 patient ratio in a facility with 6 OR suites and 2 endoscopy rooms
• Preparedness to document with paper charting
• Must be willing to take call as specified
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles away from the facility
• Candidates must include full home address and SSN as part of the application.

• Provide circulator support for a broad spectrum of surgical cases, ensuring strict adherence to safety and infection control protocols
• Collaborate efficiently with multidisciplinary surgical teams
• Manage supplies, documentation, and patient care with attention to detail
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care throughout the surgical process
• Adhere to facility guidelines for charting and procedural workflow
