Warehouse Forklift Operator

Position Description Ryder is hiring a Temporary to Permanent Material Handler in Lockbourne, Ohio. Pay: $20.00 per hour as temp; $21.00 per hour once permanent. Pay each week. Hours: Friday–Sunday 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Location: Lockbourne, Ohio. Products being handled: Pet food. Equipment used: Walkie Rider, sit‑down forklifts, RF scan gun. Responsibilities Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting. Maintain performance measurement guidelines of the contract. Accurately pick, pack, audit, tote induct, stage products, and load/unload trucks. Handle day‑to‑day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading). Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hour of production. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience (preferred). Valid Forklift Operator’s License. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Team player in a diverse work environment. Highly thorough, dependable, punctual with good attendance. Initiative and high accuracy, even under pressure. Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs; stand for long periods; use health and safety methods. Available to work a flexible schedule across multiple shifts. Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices.
