Fixed Wing Pilot

Position: Fixed Wing Pilot - SIC Location: San Antonio, TX Airframe: Beechjet 400 Schedule: 7 Days On and 7 Days Off Annual Salary Range: $91,289.89 - $104,331.31 Annual scaled salary increases based on merit to a maximum of $125,299.00 $15,000 Sign‑On Bonus (Must Complete Training and Check Ride) $40,000 Retention Bonus (6‑Month waiting period; part of a 3‑Year Program) Up to $5,000 Relocation Assistance Role Summary: The Second in Command is designated as SIC for a flight or series of flights in accordance with FAR Part 135. The SIC is responsible for safe execution of flight duties, supports the PIC, exercises operational control at Tier 2 level, and must meet qualifications as specified by FAA Part 135.245. Flight Schedule: Rotating 7 days on followed by 7 days off. On duty, pilots serve a 12‑hour shift (or up to Part 135 limits) and must meet call‑out times. Shift assignments include day or night duty, scheduled a month in advance, with the same duty period during a 7‑day shift and rotation thereafter. Minimum Required Qualifications Must reside in, or be willing to relocate to, San Antonio, TX. Must hold, or be able to attain, BE‑400 PIC Qualification. Previous medevac and/or cargo experience preferred. Hold, or be eligible to hold, an unrestricted FAA ATP certificate. 1,500 Airplane Total Time Hours. 250 Airplane Multi‑Engine Land Hours. 250 PIC Airplane Hours. Must hold or be able to obtain a First‑Class Medical Certificate. Must hold a valid U.S. Passport. Education Minimum of a High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or higher. Responsibilities Complies with duties within AirMed International general operating manual. Ensures aircraft readiness for mission in coordination with global operations center. Complies with all applicable FARs and OpSpecs. Disseminates all pertinent flight information through operational control structure. Conducts oneself professionally and sensitively to environment. Attends meetings as required; may attend training and check‑flights outside normal duty rotations. Performs other duties as assigned by Director of Operations or Chief Pilot. Working Conditions Must work in outside weather conditions. Must work night, day, and overnight shifts as assigned. May participate in de‑icing, towing, maneuvering aircraft, and pre‑flight preparations. Travel required for training events or maintenance assignment. Physical Demands Must be able to stand, walk, climb, bend, balance, sit, crouch, kneel, or crawl unassisted for extended periods. Must be able to transport themselves to and from work. May assist with loading patients, lift and/or move up to 150 pounds cumulative with assistance. Requires close, distant, peripheral, depth vision and ability to adjust focus.
