Joining Andes Clinical Research means contributing to studies that aim to benefit everyone. Role Description This is a contract, on-site Nurse Practitioner role based in Orem, UT. Scheduke is very flexible. The Nurse Practitioner will conduct patient evaluations, obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, and assess eligibility for clinical trial participation. Responsibilities include ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests as allowed by protocol, documenting findings in study and medical records, and collaborating closely with investigators, coordinators, and other research staff. The role involves administering study treatments and procedures, monitoring participants for adverse events, and following protocol-specific guidelines and safety requirements. The Nurse Practitioner will also educate participants about study procedures, obtain or support the informed consent process, and help ensure regulatory and ethical compliance throughout t he trial. Qualifications Active, unencumbered Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Utah; national certification (e.g., FNP, AGNP, or equivalent) preferred. Clinical experience in primary care, internal medicine, or a related specialty; prior experience in clinical research or clinical trials is highly desirable. Strong assessment skills, including history-taking, physical examination, diagnostic reasoning, and documentation in electronic health records. Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), research ethics, and standard operating procedures for clinical trials, or willingness to obtain training promptly. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex medical and research concepts clearly to diverse participant populations. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, manage time effectively, and follow detailed protocols with high attention to detail. Comfort with using electronic systems for data entry, scheduling, and documentation; familiarity with clinical trial management systems is a plus. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred. Ability to work on-site in Orem, UT, and meet any role-related physical requirements (such as periods of standing, walking between exam and research areas, and lifting standard medical equipment).
