Opportunity Highlights
- Locum-to-permanent position offering ongoing coverage and professional stability.
- Engage in a blend of 95% outpatient and 5% inpatient care, providing comprehensive treatment to adult patients.
- Opportunity to manage an average patient census of 22 per day, with 2-3 new consults daily, ensuring a diverse and engaging clinical experience.
- Utilize the EPIC EMR system, streamlining patient management and care coordination.
- Comprehensive support for both hematology and oncology specialties, with a clinical focus of 70% oncology and 30% hematology.
Practice Setting and Clinical Scope
As a Hematologist-Oncologist in our team, you'll be part of a respected and mission-driven care system. The role involves both outpatient and inpatient care, with a heavy emphasis on oncology. You'll be practicing with a focus on both intrathecal and intracavitary chemotherapy, leveraging your expertise to deliver cutting-edge care. The practice is known for its collaborative environment, ensuring you have access to a wide range of resources and support from a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
Schedule and Assignment Details
Your schedule will include a mix of clinic hours and EMTALA call duties, ensuring a balanced work-life integration. Expect to work Monday through Friday, with shifts from 7 am to 7 am for call, alongside regular clinic hours. There is also a weekend requirement, providing a well-rounded coverage opportunity. The assignment is set to start as soon as possible, with a credentialing timeline of 90-120 days, so your ability to begin impacting patient care can start promptly.

Qualifications
- Board Certification in Hematology or Medical Oncology is required.
- Completion of a Hematology/Oncology Fellowship is mandatory.
- While a Kentucky state license is highly preferred, it is not mandatory if other requirements are met.
- COVID-19 Vaccination, BLS, and ACLS certifications are required.
- Experience with outpatient and inpatient hematology/oncology is essential.
- Proficiency in intrathecal chemotherapy is required; intracavitary chemotherapy experience is highly preferred.
- A Self-Query NPDB report must be available at the time of presentation.
