THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a Senior Associate Attorney with 7+ years of litigation experience in general liability and/or professional liability defense to join our San Francisco office. In this role, you will take a lead position on complex, high-exposure matters, serve as a primary client contact, and help mentor junior attorneys while contributing to the continued growth of our Bay Area practice. This role offers a clear and defined path toward partnership for strong performers.

COMPENSATION

Base salary: $175,000 to $220,000 depending on experience In addition, attorneys are eligible for: Origination bonus (enhanced for senior associates) Objective bonus for hours billed above 1,850

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Develop and execute case strategy with minimal oversight Serve as primary client contact and provide ongoing strategic counsel Take and defend depositions, including experts Handle court appearances, motions, mediations, and arbitrations Draft and review substantive motions, pleadings, and case materials Supervise and mentor junior associates and support staff Assist with budgeting, reporting, and case management Billable requirement: 1,850 hours annually

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

JD from an ABA-accredited law school Active member of the California Bar in good standing 7+ years of general liability and/or professional liability litigation experience Strong ability to manage cases independently with sound judgment Proven success in motion practice, mediation, arbitration, or trial Excellent written and oral advocacy skills Experience mentoring or supervising junior attorneys preferred Familiarity with Bay Area courts preferred Interest in business development is a plus
