The Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, and preparing medical instruments and equipment to ensure patient safety and compliance with hospital standards. They work within a team to maintain a sterile environment and support surgical and clinical staff. Responsibilities:
- Prepare, sterilize, and package surgical instruments and equipment according to hospital protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization processes and equipment logs.
- Operate sterilization machinery and troubleshoot technical issues as needed.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure timely availability of sterile supplies.
- Follow safety and infection control policies consistently.
- Take on-call shifts and work holidays as part of departmental rotation during the contract period.
- Valid CRCST or CSPDT certification required.
- Proven experience in sterile processing or a related healthcare setting.
- Ability to operate sterilization equipment and maintain sterilization standards.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to infection control protocols.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Must be able to work 40 hours per week, with on-call and holiday responsibilities.
