How will you make an impact?As a Principal Investigator within the Viral Vector R&D department of STT, you will pioneer the next generation of viral vector manufacturing and thereby accelerating cures to patients of genetic diseases. You, as a part of a high-performing interdisciplinary group of experts, will continuously raise the bar for ensuring better quality, lower costs, and faster delivery of these genetic cures to patients, by innovating and/or deploying new technologies to improve process yields and control, and to streamline the manufacturing process through automation, PAT, and AI/ML.What will you do? Invent, design in detail, develop, test and deploy platforms and technologies independently and/or through collaborations within Thermo Fisher Scientific Network and, when applicable, with external collaborator.Conduct high quality science in a documented and accountable manner.Interact with groups in the Thermo Fisher Scientific Network to cross pollinate scientific knowledge and ideas, and collaborate to develop new technologies and platforms.Track and communicate development projects to leadership team.Ensure successful tech transfer to other groups for implementation and identify knowledge gaps and gap closure strategies relating to the new technologies.Keep current in new technology trends and evolving science to influence Thermo Fisher C> strategies.
