Assistant Quality Manager

We're looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Quality Manager to join our team. In this role, you'll work closely with the Quality Manager to oversee our QA and Inspection departments, lead a dedicated team of quality professionals, and serve as the backbone of our quality management system. What You'll Do Lead & Develop Your Team Supervise Inspection and QA Support personnel, manage daily schedules and timecards, deliver departmental training, and conduct performance reviews. Drive Statistical Quality Programs Support the implementation and day-to-day maintenance of SPC and SQC programs, monitor process data, escalte trends to Quality leadership, and assist in the analysis of quality data reports. Own Customer Quality Manage the full lifecycle of customer complaints — from investigation and root cause analysis to corrective action and timely closure. Complete compliance documentation including RoHS, REACH, ISO-9001, and UL requirements. Serve as Management Representative & Lead Auditor Maintain ISO 9001:2015 conformance, oversee the internal audit program, evaluate corrective action effectiveness, and support annual certification audits. Manage Documentation Control Oversee document releases, maintain the PCN log, manage distribution lists, and ensure the document control system remains effective and compliant. Act as Our UL Liaison Host quarterly Underwriters Laboratories follow-up visits, coordinate sample submissions, and maintain UL certification files. What You Bring 2–3 years of quality assurance or manufacturing experience, preferably in a laminate or specialty materials environment Working knowledge of SPC/SQC methodologies and statistical techniques Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards; Lead Auditor experience a plus Experience with customer-facing quality functions and compliance documentation Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience Above-average computer skills and strong analytical thinking Familiarity with dispersion chemistry, coating, laminating, or fabricating technology preferred Who You Are You're a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
