Assistant/Associate Professor of Nursing

Job Description:

The Emmanuel College of Nursing invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Nursing to begin January 2026. Rank will be determined based on prior experience. This is a non-tenure-track, 9-month faculty position with teaching responsibilities in the in-person BSN program.

The School of Nursing currently offers programs leading to BSN, RN to BSN completion, and an MSN in nursing education. The School of Nursing programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.



Requirements:

Applicants must have a Massachusetts nursing license in good standing and hold a BSN and MS in Nursing. A doctorate, PhD or DNP, is strongly preferred. The applicant must possess a minimum of two years full-time nursing experience, or its equivalent, within the last five years and demonstrate evidence of clinical expertise appropriate to the teaching responsibilities. Applicants should have experience participating in scholarly activities.

Teaching experience in higher education required. Applicants must demonstrate strong teaching skills at the undergraduate level. Faculty in this program are expected to teach, advise, mentor, evaluate students, conduct clinical, laboratory, face-to-face, hybrid, and/or on-line student learning activities designed to meet student and program learning outcomes. Experience in curricula development and CCNE accreditation preferred.

Faculty shall participate in the governance of Emmanuel College and the School of Nursing, as appropriate, for the accomplishment of the goals of the College and School of Nursing. Faculty are expected to develop, implement, and evaluate policies that lead to improvement in student outcomes. In addition, they are responsible for contributing to ongoing development and evaluation of curricula.

The posted salary range reflects the good-faith compensation estimate for this position. The actual pay offered will be based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity factors. $98,000-123,000.
