Operations Research Analyst

CGI Little Tokyo Inc. (Los Angeles, CA) seeks Operations Research Analyst. Responsibilities Analyze complex operational systems and processes, such as capacity planning and resource allocation challenges, to identify inefficiencies, constraints, and trade-offs affecting cost, time, capacity, and resource utilization. Formulate real-world operational problems by defining objective functions, constraints, decision variables and translating operational requirements into mathematical and quantitative models that incorporate uncertainty and interdependencies among variables. Design, evaluate, and refine optimization, simulation, or analytical models developed from first principles by selecting appropriate operations research methodologies grounded in graduate-level training in optimization, probability, and systems modeling, and by evaluating the theoretical assumptions and limitations of alternative approaches to determine optimal or near-optimal solutions under varying conditions. Validate and test quantitative models using empirical operational data, conduct sensitivity and scenario analyses, and adjust model assumptions to ensure robustness and practical applicability. Translate model outcomes into actionable recommendations by interpreting quantitative results in the context of operational objectives, risks, and constraints to support data-driven decision-making. Support the implementation and ongoing refinement of optimized operational approaches by evaluating deviations between modeled outcomes and observed performance and recalibrating quantitative models as operational conditions evolve. Requirements Master’s degree in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related quantitative field with a concentration in optimization, probability, and mathematical modeling.
