Senior UX Designer / UX Consultant - Rapid Prototyping & Executive

Title: Senior UX Designer / UX Consultant – Rapid Prototyping & Executive Visualization Location: Maryland - Onsite Type: Contract Role Overview We are looking for an experienced UX Designer / UX Consultant who can translate business ideas, product concepts, and emerging technology use cases into highly polished, intuitive, and visually compelling user experiences . The ideal candidate combines strong UX fundamentals with exceptional visual design skills and has the ability to create Apple-esque, modern, minimalist experiences across wireframes, interactive prototypes, product concepts, and executive presentations. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, technology teams, and solution architects to rapidly convert early-stage ideas into tangible prototypes that can be demonstrated, validated, and refined with senior stakeholders. Key Responsibilities UX & Experience Design Translate business requirements, workflows, and conceptual ideas into intuitive user journeys and experience designs. Develop high-fidelity wireframes, mockups, and UI concepts with a modern, clean, premium visual aesthetic. Apply strong principles of information architecture, interaction design, usability, accessibility, and responsive design. Simplify complex workflows and data-intensive applications into elegant, easy-to-understand experiences. Rapid Prototyping Build interactive, presentation-ready prototypes that closely simulate the intended end-user experience. Rapidly translate whiteboard concepts, sketches, and stakeholder discussions into tangible prototypes. Support iterative design sessions where concepts can be created, demonstrated, refined, and validated quickly. Partner with engineering teams to ensure designs are technically feasible and can transition efficiently from prototype to production. Executive Visualization & Storytelling Create visually sophisticated presentations and product demonstrations suitable for senior and executive stakeholders. Convert complex product or technology concepts into simple, compelling visual narratives. Develop presentation-quality screens, workflows, journey maps, and solution concepts that help stakeholders visualize the future-state experience. Stakeholder Collaboration Facilitate UX discovery and design workshops with business and technology stakeholders. Work effectively with ambiguous or evolving requirements and proactively recommend design approaches. Present and articulate design decisions, explaining the rationale behind UX and visual design choices. Incorporate stakeholder feedback rapidly while maintaining overall design consistency and quality. Required Experience & Skills 5+ years of professional UX/UI or Product Design experience , preferably including enterprise or consulting environments. Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality visual design, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and production-grade digital experiences . Demonstrated ability to create minimalist, premium, Apple-inspired visual experiences with strong attention to typography, spacing, hierarchy, interaction, and detail. Advanced proficiency with Figma and modern prototyping/design tools. Strong experience creating both low-fidelity concepts and high-fidelity interactive prototypes . Strong PowerPoint/presentation-design capabilities, particularly for executive audiences. Ability to independently take an ambiguous business concept and rapidly convert it into a compelling visual solution. Excellent communication, stakeholder-management, and presentation skills. Experience collaborating with product managers, business SMEs, developers, architects, and senior executives. Preferred Qualifications Experience designing enterprise applications, analytics/data products, AI/GenAI applications, or digital transformation solutions . Experience working in consulting or client-facing environments. Familiarity with design systems and reusable component libraries. Understanding of front-end development concepts and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams. Experience developing prototypes for innovation workshops, executive demonstrations, PoCs, or MVPs. What We Are Specifically Looking For This is not primarily a UX research role . We are looking for someone who can quickly take an idea such as: Business concept → User journey → Wireframe → High-fidelity experience → Interactive prototype → Executive-ready presentation The successful candidate should be comfortable working with incomplete requirements and have the design judgment to transform early-stage ideas into experiences that are simple, elegant, intuitive, visually distinctive, and compelling enough to help stakeholders envision the finished product .
