- Conduct individualized music therapy sessions for clients of all ages and abilities
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs and goals
- Assess client progress and adjust therapy techniques as necessary
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate music therapy into care plans
- Provide documentation and reporting on client progress and outcomes
- Engage in continuous professional development and training to enhance skills
- Bachelor of Science degree, Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Therapy, or a Bachelor of Music degree
- Completed all educational and clinical training requirements as required by the American Music Therapy Association inclusive of a six (6) month internship at an approved site as well as pre-clinical hours completed during their academic coursework
- Hold the MT-BC credential as issued by the Certification Board for Music Therapists
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with clients and families
- Passion for using music as a therapeutic tool to improve mental health
- Knowledge of various music genres and therapeutic techniques
- Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred
