FLOOR TECHNICIAN (FULL TIME)

Job Summary Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment. Job Details Location: Mount Pleasant Independent School District – 2011 North Edwards Avenue, Mount Pleasant, TX 75455 (openings available at other district locations). Schedule: Full‑time; Sunday through Wednesday with variable hours (flexibility for part‑time as needed). Pay: $14.00 to $15.00 per hour. Requirement: Prior floor care experience is required. Background check required; consideration of all qualified applicants. Immediate hiring. Essential Functions Maintain knowledge of hard‑surface floor maintenance principles and apply proper procedures for stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing. Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment. Use automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas. Apply proper procedures for carpet and upholstery cleaning, including shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming. Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types. Perform other duties as assigned by the manager. Qualifications Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role preferred. Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques. Knowledge of and ability to follow safety procedures. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. frequently. Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance. 401(k) with company match.
