Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Foreman with extensive experience in commercial concrete projects. The successful candidate will lead multiple concrete crews across various job sites, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Run multiple concrete crews across concurrent job sites, setting daily manpower, sequencing, and priorities.
• Verify layout and grade; ensure forms, embeds, elevations, and reinforcing are installed to drawings, including piers, grade beams, foundation walls, slabs on grade, exterior flatwork, curb, and approaches.
• Manage formwork using gang, panel, and job-built systems; oversee shoring, bracing, and concrete carpentry.
• Own pour day activities including pre-pour checklist, mix and ticket verification, placement, finishing, joint layout, and curing.
• Conduct quality control checks for flatness and levelness, joint spacing, saw cutting, finish consistency, and resolve punch list items.
• Lead site safety initiatives including daily huddles, hazard reviews, and awareness of fall protection, silica, and excavation risks.
• Coordinate material ordering and vendor relationships with ready-mix, rebar, pump, and equipment suppliers.
• Train and develop finishers and laborers, maintaining a consistent standard of quality and safety across the crew.
• Prepare daily reports, photo documentation, and track quantities back to the project team.

Essential Skills

• Expertise in concrete, construction, finishing, and concrete finishing.
• Experience in commercial construction and construction management.
• Ability to manage concrete pours and supervise construction crews.
• Proficiency in reading structural drawings, rebar shops, and specifications.
• Ability to run layout from a control line independently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in commercial concrete, with 3+ years leading a crew as foreman or lead.
• Experience with large-scale commercial concrete packages, especially multi-million-dollar scopes.
• Proficient in formwork and concrete carpentry; capable of building and setting forms.
• OSHA 10 minimum required, OSHA 30 preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.

Tilt-up. Panel casting, layout, embeds,

bracing, and erection coordination. Significant plus.

Post-tension and pre-stressed. Tendon

layout, stressing sequence, and inspection coordination.

Laser screed. Somero or equivalent, on

large interior slab pours.

Civil and site work. Curb and gutter,

approaches, ADA compliance, storm structures, and public right-of-way.

Public and municipal work. Prevailing

wage, certified payroll, and inspection-heavy environments.

Equipment. Skid steer, mini excavator,

telehandler, rotary laser levels, power tools, hand tools, and more as

required.

Bilingual English / Spanish. Meaningful

advantage in crew leadership.

Work Environment

This role involves working on various commercial construction sites, coordinating with multiple vendors and crews. The position requires adherence to strict safety standards and involves outdoor work, often in varying weather conditions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lees Summit, MO.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
