Collections Manager

We’re hiring a Collections Manager for Energy Capital Credit Union in the Houston area! This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows collections, can lead a team, and understands how to protect the credit union while still treating members with respect. What you’ll be doing: Lead, train, coach, and manage the collections team Manage delinquent accounts and work directly with members to bring accounts current Monitor promises to pay and ensure timely follow-up Handle escalated accounts, member concerns, loan modifications, and settlement offers Manage repossessions, recovery efforts, and the disposal of repossessed collateral Oversee charge-offs, negative shares, and loss mitigation efforts Coordinate bankruptcy, foreclosure, judgments, and other legal collection activity Manage third-party collection and recovery vendors Monitor delinquency and charge-off ratios and identify trends Prepare management reporting and lead the monthly Delinquency Committee Meeting Identify underwriting trends that may be contributing to delinquency or losses Recommend process and policy improvements to strengthen collection efforts Ensure compliance with FDCPA, BSA, OFAC, and credit union policies What we’re looking for: 3-5 years of collections experience, preferably in a bank or credit union Leadership or supervisory experience Strong hands-on collections and problem-solving skills Experience with repossessions, bankruptcies, charge-offs, and loss mitigation Someone who can lead a team, get results, and still provide great member service #J-18808-Ljbffr Cornerstone Resources
