Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an OpenText Consultant for a contract assignment with one of our premier UTILITY SERVICES clients in Tampa, FL. The Systems Analyst Consultant leads complex software development projects. Leads selection and implementation of software packages and drives substantial interaction with vendor resources. Serves as subject matter expert in technical discipline. Works under minimal supervision and mentors and directs junior staff. May serve as backup to Manager in a limited capacity. Responsibilities include:

• Leading complex software development projects. Collaborates with Business Systems Analysts and/or Business Partners to develop software specifications.
• Leading selection and implementation of software packages for which in-depth configuration and integration is required; drives substantial interaction with vendor resources.
• Leading the integration of applications with complex interfaces based on specifications provided.
• Providing 24x7 primary and/or secondary support for one or more applications classified as niche, core, or mission-critical.
• Coordinating maintenance activities which may include release schedules for one or more functional areas.
• Supporting the request and analysis phases of SDLC by producing required documentation and estimates; overseeing and managing deliverables produced by junior staff.
• Executing the design, development, and implementation phases of SDLC by producing the prescribed deliverables; overseeing and managing deliverables produced by junior staff.
• Participating on an Application Development and Support team as well as project teams under the direction of their manager or project managers. Functions as Technical Lead on projects and oversees technical staff; may lead multiple concurrent projects.
• Subject matter expert in multiple business areas, including those relevant to projects and application support assignments.
• Considered a subject matter expert in their technical discipline; mentors and directs junior staff, provides feedback to manager on junior staff performance review.
• Develops and drives standard practices within their team.

Required Skills include:

• Bachelor's degree in Information/Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems or equivalent discipline. Experience above minimum may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
• Ten years of experience in systems analysis, design, and development.
• Expert knowledge of business software applications and hardware technologies. Stays current with IT industry trends and emerging technologies; leads application of new technologies when appropriate.
• Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Frequently presents information to their team and department.
• Develops project plans for small projects; partners with Project Managers to develop project plans for large projects. Assists manager with project scheduling and resource management.
• Creates and reviews technical design specifications and possesses knowledge of development tools and technologies in support of the Information Technology Architecture.
• Expert with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Drives continuous process improvement for SDLC, maintenance, application support, and technology architecture.

• C# Programming to the OpenText API would be a very nice to have skill
• Development experience in Opentext Exstream is an added advantage.

Preferred Skills include:

• Two or more professional certifications in specific job-related disciplines.
• Twelve years of experience in systems analysis, design, and development.
