Service Associate

Location 103 Captain’s Corner – Charlevoix, Michigan 49720 Position Summary This role is responsible for providing highly satisfactory service and assistance to guests; bagging groceries and providing carry‑out service to vehicles; retrieving carts from the parking area; performing bottle tasks; and janitorial duties as needed. The shift must contribute to the store’s financial best interests. All other duties are performed in a timely manner. Responsibilities Use proper bagging supplies and bagging techniques when handling guests’ purchases. Empty bottle bins, clean bottle machines, and maintain the bottle return area. Collect, return, clean, and organize shopping carts and load groceries into customers’ vehicles. Have familiarity with the location of products carried in the store. Handle spoiled or damaged products per established guidelines. Maintain a clean, attractive, and well‑stocked department. Work independently of others. Perform cleaning duties and other assigned work in a timely manner. Follow all PPE and safety guidelines. Follow all food safety and cleaning expectations. Follow guest experience guidelines. May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience needs. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Requirements High school diploma (GED preferred). Good oral communication skills. Ability to interact politely and effectively with customers. The employee is exposed to a typical retail store environment with varied temperatures and occasional outdoor weather conditions. The noise level is usually low to moderate.
