Job Description
Job Opportunity Position Overview We are seeking a candidate with solid precepting experience who is quick to learn and can transition to full-time precepting without delay. Candidates are required to have a minimum of two years of experience and must have the ability to work weekends and be on-call as needed. Job Details
- Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (07:00 AM - 03:30 PM)
- Census: 33 patients (7 days a week)
- Years of Experience Required: 2 years of experience preferred
- Charting System: Epic preferred
- On-call Requirement: Yes
- Ability to Float: No
- Local Candidates: Not accepted (75-mile rule)
- Pending License: Accepted
- Restrictions: 7 days
- Minimum 2 years of experience required, including travel experience
- Certification in HSPA and/or CBSPD required
- Experience with Steris washers, ultrasonic units, and autoclaves
- Familiarity with instrument tracking software such as ASP low temp NX100's SPM
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Preferred experience in a community hospital and LTAC settings
- Preferred experience at Trauma Level I and II facilities
- Acute Hospital OR experience
- Cleaning equipment including crash carts, IV pumps, and PCA pumps
- Performing High-Level Disinfection (HLD)
- Utilizing washers and sterilizers effectively
- Selecting appropriate wrapping materials and following sterilization procedures
- Assembling sets/trays and documenting equipment usage
- Conducting steam sterilization testing and monitoring
- Managing immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS)
- Orientation hours: 20
- Weekend coverage required
- Minimum one approved time off
