Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (minimum) and Teaching Certificate
• Completed degree or course of study in a field related to the subject you will be teaching
• Supervised classroom experience
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Teach students in a classroom setting, managing their work output in the classroom and behavior daily.
• Develop teaching and learning materials for use in class, including lesson plans, exams and homework, homework and projects, and assignments that make use of all student skills.
• Modify lesson plans and materials as needed to make them suitable for students' current learning levels.
• Monitor and track student progress and issue grades.
• Maintain relationships with parents and legal guardians of students in order to keep them informed of their child's progress.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers and administrators, including special education teachers and teacher's aids, to provide individualized support for each student on a regular basis.
• Collaborate with other teachers in order to share best practices and provide meaningful feedback regularly.
• Ensure that students meet educational standards and school performance goals for their grade level.
• Managing large groups of students with diverse needs, maintaining classroom discipline, responding to student behaviors, adapting to unexpected situations
• Regularly standing and moving around the classroom, lifting and carrying materials, writing on boards, reaching for items on shelves, prolonged periods of sitting.
