Practice Manager

Women’s Health Connecticut is seeking a full-time, Practice Manager Litchfield County OB/GYN! Position : Practice Manager Location : Litchfield County OB/GYN Address : 780 Litchfield Street, Torrington, CT 06790 (required to travel to the Winsted office) Employment : Full-time, 40 hours per week Schedule : Monday- Friday, 8:00am- 5:00pm Reports to : Practice Manager Position Overview: The Practice Manager is a key member of the management team, which includes partner physicians, clinical staff, and operation management. The Practice Manager is required to work between two office locations, Torrington and Winsted. The Practice Manager position requires a minimum of five years progressive management experience in a medical office setting with at least five years in a position directly responsible for medical practice administration and/or quality improvement initiatives in Obstetrics/Gynecology. The Practice Manager is responsible for the overall operations, development, and success of the practice. In this important role, the Practice Manager will act as an information resource and ambassador to patients, the general public, physicians, and staff. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a medical billing background, and efficient communication skills. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Effectively communicate with physicians, health insurance representatives, and other healthcare professionals. Interview, hire, and train new staff in accordance with HR guidelines. Address staff issues and conduct regular performance review in accordance with HR guidelines. Manage daily staffing to ensure optimal operation of the practice. Supervise the selection and ordering of supplies. Regularly review productivity and make staffing adjustments as needed. Monitor and approve timecards and track licensure requirements for staff. Ensure the business needs of the practice are met and actively work to recruit new patients. Responsible for executing projects/changes as directed by the physicians and/or the organization. Preparation of annual budget and manage practice expenses within budgetary guidelines. Review and enter invoices into the accounts payable system. Ensure compliance with all government guidelines. Responsible for facilities and premises management. May assist in scheduling appointments and maintaining medical records. Develop and implement office policies and procedures. Provide educational material for patients. Required Skills and Qualifications: 5+ years’ experience in medical office management, preferably in an OB/GYN practice. 5+ years managing staff and operations across multiple site locations. Working knowledge of medical terminology. Medical office billing experience is required. Proficiency with EMR systems and software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills The Job responsibilities provided are intended to be a summary of the job duties.
