Sr Tax Accountant

Senior Tax Accountant – Trusts, Estates, and General Tax We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant with strong expertise in trusts and estates, complemented by a broad background in general tax compliance and complex bookkeeping. This role will focus on reviewing returns, providing proactive tax planning, and overseeing preparation across a diverse client base that includes high-net-worth individuals, families, and businesses. Key Responsibilities: Review trust and estate tax returns to ensure compliance and accuracy Provide strategic tax planning for trusts, estates, and high-net-worth individuals Oversee and review preparation of individual, partnership, S-corporation, and C-corporation tax returns Prepare complex returns when necessary, particularly for trusts and estates Manage complex bookkeeping functions, including reconciliations and reporting for multi-entity or high-net-worth clients Collaborate directly with clients on estate planning and wealth transfer strategies Conduct in-depth research on trust, estate, and general tax issues to support planning opportunities Guide and mentor junior staff through technical review and coaching Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA or EA strongly preferred 5+ years of progressive tax experience with a focus on trusts and estates and exposure to a wide range of tax return types Strong technical knowledge in tax planning, compliance, and complex bookkeeping for individuals, businesses, and fiduciary entities Proven ability to review work, manage multiple engagements, and provide high-level client service #J-18808-Ljbffr The Agency Recruiting
