We have a fantastic opportunity for a Sourcing & Procurement Lead.**Your Role in Keeping the Future in Safe Hands...**The Sourcing & Procurement Lead is responsible for strategic sourcing, supplier relationships, and timely purchasing of materials, components, and supplies supporting manufacturing and business operations. The role combines commercial negotiation, hands-on procurement, MRP-driven material planning, and inventory stewardship to improve cost, quality, delivery, and supply continuity. Working closely with Engineering, Operations, Production Planning, Finance, and Sales, this role strengthens supplier performance, manages supply risks, and uses procurement and inventory data to drive measurable improvements.**What you will do...****Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management*** Develop and execute sourcing strategies that improve total cost, product quality, delivery performance, and supply continuity.* Lead RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, bid analysis, supplier selection, and negotiations covering pricing, payment terms, lead times, and service commitments.* Identify, evaluate, and qualify alternate and second-source suppliers for critical materials and components, coordinating technical and quality reviews as needed.* Own supplier relationships, performance scorecards, and business reviews; coordinate corrective action for cost, quality, delivery, or service issues.* Monitor supplier capacity, material markets, price movements, and potential disruptions; develop practical supply-risk mitigation actions.* Lead cost-reduction opportunities and partner with Finance to document and track realized savings.**Procurement, MRP & Inventory Planning*** Manage the purchase order lifecycle, from requisition and supplier confirmation through delivery, issue resolution, and closure.* Review ERP/MRP demand signals and production requirements; convert approved needs into accurate and timely purchase orders.* Establish and maintain appropriate safety stock, reorder points, and stocking parameters while balancing material availability and working capital.* Track open orders and supplier delivery commitments; expedite critical components and resolve shortages or schedule changes before they affect production.* Verify that purchased goods and services meet specifications, partnering with receiving, quality, and suppliers to resolve discrepancies.* Identify and reduce excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory and recommend improvements to material-planning processes.**Cross-Functional Partnership*** Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Production Planning to align material availability with customer commitments and manufacturing priorities.* Partner with Engineering and Product Management on component selection, supplier readiness, product changes, and product lifecycle decisions.* Work with Finance and Accounts Payable to resolve purchase order and invoice discrepancies and improve purchasing controls and cost visibility.**Systems, Reporting & Continuous Improvement*** Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory transactions in NetSuite, including purchase orders, receipts, stock movements, and related data.* Use Excel and ERP reporting to monitor supplier delivery, inventory health, material availability, and cost performance; recommend and implement process improvements.**What we expect of you...****Required Qualifications*** At least five years of relevant experience in sourcing, procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or materials management, including hands-on supplier and purchasing responsibilities.* Demonstrated success negotiating supplier terms, managing vendor relationships, and delivering measurable cost, quality, or delivery improvements.* Practical experience with MRP-driven purchasing, inventory management, replenishment planning, and ERP/MRP systems.* Strong Excel, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and follow through on commitments.**Preferred Qualifications*** Experience sourcing electronic or electromechanical components, or working in manufacturing, industrial products, or a similar technical environment.* Hands-on experience with NetSuite, alternate-source development, and supplier performance reporting.**Professional Competencies*** Commercially astute negotiator with strong ownership, supplier-management judgment, and accountability for results.* Data-driven and detail-oriented; communicates effectively and works collaboratively across technical, operational, and financial teams.**What you can expect from us...*** Generous and competitive total rewards package.* Career-development resources to expand your skills and maximize your potential.* Supportive and accessible leadership and a values-based culture.* Empowerment and opportunities to contribute to business improvements.* Access to development and career opportunities across a global company.**Application**You can submit your application by clicking ‘Apply Now’.
